Important
Information, April 9, 2009
Important PTG meeting will be this coming Monday. Areas of discussion will be
the Spring Ball, the FEAST, Uniforms results, Teacher Appreciation Week-May 4-8,
Rummage for Treasure and the 4th of July Parade.
The FEAST meeting was held on Tuesday evening. The following
information is our responsibility for this huge parish and school
celebration.
• Working Shifts-Thank you for signing up early. We have a
total of 120 slots to fill and to date we have filled 65 slots. We have 55
slots to fill and they are mostly on Saturday. Go into office and sign up or
call Gloria and verify where you are able to work. Some of you have already
taken double shifts-Mahalo. If 33 people work double shifts, we will have
full coverage for this event.
• Thursday, April 30 ALL HANDS ON DECK-we need every
available hand to help decorate the game booths. Decorating will begin at
3:00 p.m. and continue until we are finished.
• Pre-Sale tickets for the FEAST are due next Wednesday,
April 15. These pre-sale tickets help us pay for the many necessary things
purchased for the preparation of the FEAST.
• The PTG Rummage for Treasure Sale is on Saturday, May 23.
Please continue to save your treasures for the sale. The gym is ours during
the week of May 18. All rummage is other people’s treasures-let’s make this
a terrific event!!!!

PTG PLANS/GOALS
-
Science class (Sr. Estilita-4th Grade) in
need of a television with S-Video compatibility.

Planning event and organization
volunteers for the "Trunk of Treats". Invitation will be extending to
our church parishioners.
PTG MISSION
-
Support the Educational enrichment of our
Students. Supply a volunteer pool for the staff and function to
purchase "wish list" supplies for the classroom via the teachers.

Encourage a sense of Community (Ohana)
amongst our school and families through cultural diversity and strive to
celebrate these differences to bring us closer together through Family Fun
Nights with themes of Aloha, Fiesta, Teacher/Volunteer Appreciation.

Extend sense of Ohana to Parish with
effective communication between School and Parish with active loving
relationships through Pancake Breakfasts, Living Stations of the Cross, the
Giving Tree, etc.
-
Nurture our children's Christian
character through spiritual enrichment and apply their knowledge of the
Catholic faith to life situations through social service projects.
PTG OBJECTIVES

Fundraising: To fund functions
which will facilitate and promote a closer sense of Ohana within our School
and Parish communities. To support the betterment of the school by
purchasing library books, help to fund a science lab, classroom
supplies/books, "Wish Lists", etc.

PTG ACCOMPLISHMENTS
-
A new television for viewing and filming
was donated to the 5th Grade by a class parent.

Mrs. Kelly Maguire and her family has
cleaned and planted our school courtyard with beautiful flowers and
greenery. She has continually kept up the beautification in and the
courtyard.
-
Cristina Graziano and Princess Kinores
organized uniform inventory from years past. The uniforms then were
sold at discounted prices to students and their family members.

Preparing and organization for Ohana
Picnic.
-
Confirmed with Berna that PTG will clean
the church 5 times during the month of December. The exact dates/times
posted on the school bulletin board.
