- Religious instruction forms the basis for the total development of the student. All students are required to participate in all regular religion classes and school oriented church services during school hours. Workshops for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are available for parents during the school year if their children are receiving these sacraments within the year.

Special Programs:
St. Joseph School curriculum is enriched with additional classes of Library, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Participation in classes and program attendance is required. All students must participate in these programs unless a written note is received from the parent/guardian or physician indicating a medical reason.
Extra-Curricular Activities:
Extra-curricular activities vary from year to year and are dependent upon parent participation. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular athletic events sponsored by the County of Maui. Some fees may apply for extra-curricular activities offered by St. Joseph School.
After School Program:
St. Joseph School offers an after school program on a daily basis. Students attending this program are required to bring a snack from home. Students are to remain in school uniforms. Payment for this program can be made to the supervisor or to the office.
Field Trips:
- Field Trips are privileges afforded to students. No student has an absolute right to attend a field trip.
- Field trips are to be educational excursions and must be approved by the principal.
- Students without a signed permission form by parents will not be allowed to go on the field trip.
- Students are required to have medical coverage.
- Chaperones accompanying the classes may not bring additional siblings along.
